Api Usage Terms

These API Usage Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of UDDA Translation AB’s (“UDDA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) application programming interfaces (APIs), tools, and related services (collectively, the “API Services”). By accessing or using our API Services, you agree to these Terms, the Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the API Services.
1. Definitions
1.1 API Key: A unique identifier issued to you by UDDA to access the API Services.
1.2 Customer Data: Data provided by you or generated through your use of the API Services.
1.3 Third-Party Providers: External service providers that may integrate with or support the API Services, including AI model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropics, or other similar vendors.
1.4 Usage Policies: The acceptable use restrictions outlined in Section 3.
2. Access and License
2.1 License Grant: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, UDDA grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the API Services solely for your internal business purposes.
2.2 API Key: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your API Key. Unauthorized sharing or usage of your API Key is strictly prohibited.
2.3 Modification or Termination: UDDA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to the API Services at any time for any reason, including violations of these Terms.
3. Usage Policies
You agree to use the API Services in compliance with these Usage Policies:
3.1 Prohibited Activities:
Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code of the API Services.
Using the API Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
Submitting, storing, or processing sensitive or illegal content without appropriate consent.
3.2 Compliance with Laws: You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the API Services complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and privacy laws.
3.3 Rate Limits: UDDA may impose rate limits on API usage to ensure optimal performance and fair access for all users. Exceeding rate limits may result in suspension or termination of your access.
3.4 Attribution: If required by UDDA, you agree to provide proper attribution when using outputs generated by the API Services.
4. Data Handling and Privacy
4.1 Data Processing: Any data provided through the API Services is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum (DPA).
4.2 Third-Party Providers: Our API Services may rely on third-party providers to deliver functionality. You acknowledge and agree that these providers may process your data as outlined in their respective terms and policies.
4.3 Data Retention: Customer Data processed through the API Services will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the API Services or comply with legal obligations.
4.4 Data Security: UDDA implements industry-standard technical and organizational measures to safeguard Customer Data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Ownership: UDDA retains all rights, title, and interest in the API Services, including any underlying software, technology, and documentation.
5.2 Customer Data: You retain ownership of your Customer Data. By using the API Services, you grant UDDA a non-exclusive license to process your data as necessary to provide the API Services.
5.3 Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions regarding the API Services, UDDA may use such feedback without obligation to you.
6. Termination
6.1 Termination by UDDA: We may suspend or terminate your access to the API Services immediately if:
You breach these Terms or applicable laws.
Your use of the API Services poses a security or legal risk.
6.2 Termination by You: You may terminate your use of the API Services at any time by ceasing all access and usage.
6.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the API Services and any data associated with your API Key will be disabled. UDDA will delete or anonymize retained Customer Data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UDDA is not liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the API Services.
Any loss of data, revenue, or profits resulting from interruptions, errors, or unauthorized access to the API Services.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in Swedish courts.
9. Updates to Terms
UDDA reserves the right to update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the API Services or applicable legal requirements. Updates will be posted at https://udda.ai/api-usage-terms and will take effect immediately upon posting. Significant changes will be communicated to users.
