UDDA Cookie Policy
Last updated: January 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how UDDA TRANSLATION AB (“UDDA”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on udda.ai and the UDDA web app (the “Service”).
We’re privacy-forward by design: we don’t run surveillance analytics, and we avoid unnecessary tracking. Still, modern web services need a few “plumbing” mechanisms to work securely (logins, payments, fraud prevention).
1) What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels/scripts that help deliver a service.
Cookies can be:
Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser)
Persistent cookies (stay for a set period)
First-party (set by UDDA)
Third-party (set by a provider we use, e.g., payments)
2) How UDDA uses cookies
A) Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These are required for the Service to function and to keep it secure.
We may use them for:
Authentication and session handling (keeping you logged in)
Security (preventing abuse and malicious use)
Load balancing / service reliability
User settings (basic preferences)
Supabase authentication and session cookies: Supabase’s session handling commonly uses cookies for storing/retrieving session information in web apps and SSR flows. (Supabase)
Legal basis (EU/EEA): “Necessary” cookies are used under legitimate interest / performance of contract and typically do not require consent.
B) Analytics (privacy-friendly)
We use Simple Analytics to understand website performance (e.g., page views, referrers, device types) without user-level tracking.
Simple Analytics documents what it collects and emphasizes collecting only what’s necessary. (Simple Analytics Docs)
About cookies: Simple Analytics publishes a cookie statement indicating it uses functional cookies only. (Simple Analytics)
How UDDA uses attribution: We may store campaign parameters and click IDs that arrive in the URL (e.g., UTMs, gclid, fbclid) for attribution. These are typically URL parameters, not cookies. We store them to understand what brought you to UDDA—not to follow you around the internet.
C) Payments and fraud prevention (only when you pay)
If you purchase a plan, our payment provider (e.g., Stripe) may set cookies or similar technologies needed to:
process the payment securely,
prevent fraud,
and keep the checkout reliable.
Stripe describes using cookies and similar technologies for security and fraud prevention, among other operational purposes. (Stripe)
3) What we do not do (current stance)
We do not use Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager for analytics.
We do not use fingerprinting for tracking.
We do not run “data broker” style tracking or sell cookie data.
(If we ever introduce optional tracking cookies beyond what’s necessary, we’ll update this policy and, where required, ask for consent.)
4) Managing cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings:
Block or delete cookies
Restrict third-party cookies
Clear cookies on exit
Note: Blocking strictly necessary cookies can break login, account features, or checkout.
5) Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version.
